Spinal Massage Crawley, West Sussex

The spine is responsible for even weight distribution when you walk or when you stand and is the reason you are able to move in an upright fashion. It consists of 33 vertebrae; it protects the spinal cord which extend from the brain and terminates in the lumbar region.
The spine is the home of the spinal cord. The spinal cord contains the Central Nervous System (CNS) and the Peripheral Nervous System(PNS), which in turn control numerous reflexes and coordinate our systems, by passing neural signals between the brain and the rest of our body.
Thus, the importance of the alignment of the spine, because it balances the meridians, so the energy pathway can flow freely along the whole body.
By manipulating the deep muscles of the spine through different massage techniques such as rocking, pressing, stretching, pushing, releasing…,the massage will allow to create space between the vertebrae, fascia, muscles and ligaments, realigns the skeletal system, releases all tensions, tightness, knots (sometimes somatic) of the deep muscles, therefore re-activate a better flow of the blood, spinal fluid, lymph flow, and rebalance the all body internally and externally in a holistic manner (relief of tension, headaches, increased range of motion, reduce stress level, release trauma…).
I use Arnica Massage balm, which is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the symptomatic relief of muscular and rheumatic pain.
Massage of the spine is mainly focused on the whole of the back, including the neck, the scalp and I will finish with a facial massage using the Marma points to balance energy and improve the body’s system.
The whole experience should leave you more grounded, but bear in mind it could also trigger the healing process by releasing emotions, therefore it is importance to drink plenty of fluid at room temperature, avoiding all form of stimulant, eating light, resting, and to stay connected with your inner self within the next 48 hours, to benefit fully of the treatment.

My name is Beatrice Salice, I have over 20 yrs experience in various areas of Healing therapies with an expertise in the field of addiction. I am a registered and qualified practitioner with CTHA in bodywork massage including Indian Head Massage Oncology Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Body Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Reiki level 1, Reflexology, Western Herbal Remedies and Nutrition.
I strongly believe in a Holistic approach to stimulate the client’s own strengh rather than focusing on the illness in the quest for optimal health and wellness. My belief as a practitioner in this field is that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
Combining nutritionnal guidance, complementary therapies, mindfulness are the natural keys to reach the optimum of well being, which have been proven very beneficial during my years of practice in various treatment centres, along with a change of lifestyle. I am passionate in promoting the importance of well being and reconnected the individual with him/herself. We are living in an era of stress, toxins, fast food, technology, we are forgetting how to nurture ourself as a whole.
