Indian Head Massage
Crawley, West Sussex

Indian Head Massage is carried out sitting on a chair, without removing any clothes. It is a treatment performed on the upper back(shoulders), arms/hands, neck, head, and face.

Indian Head Massage works on 3 levels:

1- Physiological benefits: improve circulation systems (lymph/blood flow), muscular/skeletal systems, and hair/skin/eyes/nose/jaws.

2- Psychological benefits: relieve stress/tension, improve concentration, raised energy level.

3- Subtle/Spiritual benefits: It rebalances/unblocks the Chakras (endocrine system), therefore restores harmony between Body, Mind and Spirit.

Please be aware this treatment is carried out whilst seated in a chair. If this is not suitable please let us know when booking and we can offer an alternative.

After the treatment, you might feel an instant relief of aches and pain. Your neck, shoulder will feel much looser due to the removal of toxins, therefore allowing fresh blood flow to the muscles. Your face will look radiant, and you will not stop smiling. I like to take a picture of my client with their personal phone before and after the treatment so they can see the change.

If you are diagnosed with any form of cancer and receiving chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatment we will require written consent from your GP/ Consultant prior to offering any Massage Treatment, other treatments may be available without consent please check with us. FAQs

An Indian Head massage is the ideal way to get a person “out of their head”, far far away from everyday emotional and mental stress. The massage may or may not use certain oils in the hair and on the body. Starting at the upper back, the Indian Head masseuse begins by applying pressure to points that dissolve knots and relax the muscles. They then move to the shoulders and upper arms to release other common areas of tension, and to the neck and head to release headache-causing blockages and to encourage better circulation of the cerebral fluid. The massage then progresses to the scalp, relaxing the entire head, encouraging circulation and stimulating hair growth. Lastly, the masseuse may choose to perform a gentle face massage that may relieve symptoms encourages good circulation and a glowing complexion.

Immediately after a treatment you are likely to feel relaxed, calm and feeling better, physically and mentally and emotionally than when you arrived. Many people feel lighter and more energised after their session. You may also feel tired as the body can work quite hard physically and emotionally through a session without appearing to do so.
Everyone’s experience is different and you may find that on subsequent treatments you feel quite different according to the nature and depth of the treatment and how you feel on that day.
If you have been receiving a treatment for muscular or joint ailments then you may feel as if you are unbalanced or ache immediately after a treatment as your body is adjusting itself to the correct positions.
It is always a good idea to keep yourself hydrated and especially after having any treatment as this will increase the benefits of the treatment and reduce any side effects.
Occasionally, you may experience what is sometimes known as a “healing crisis” which is a positive healing process where symptoms actually become temporarily worse but pass within a couple of days. You may even experience cold or flu-like symptoms, feel achy, restless, have unusual dreams or just feel a little under the weather. This is part of the healing process and is a sign that your body is changing and healing.

BEATRICE SALICE ITEC Dip; CthA

My name is Beatrice Salice, I am a FCT with 17 yrs experience in various areas of Healing therapies with an expertise in the field of addiction. I am a registered and qualified practitioner with CTHA in bodywork massage including Indian Head Massage Oncology Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Body Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Reiki level 1, Reflexology, Western Herbal Remedies and Nutrition.

I strongly believe in a Holistic approach to stimulate the client’s own strengh rather than focusing on the illness in the quest for optimal health and wellness. My belief as a practitioner in this field is that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.

Combining nutritionnal guidance, complementary therapies, mindfulness are the natural keys to reach the optimum of well being, which have been proven very beneficial during my years of practice in various treatment centres, along with a change of lifestyle. I am passionate in promoting the importance of well being and reconnected the individual with him/herself. We are living in an era of stress, toxins, fast food, technology, we are  forgetting how to nurture ourself as a whole.
