Essential oils can be used to treat a wide range of common complaints, which will be discussed during the consultation. It is therefore important to recognise that essential oils have three distinct modes of action with regard to how they inter-relate with the human body:
Prior to treatment, the Aromatherapist will have a consultation with client, to find out the chief complaints to create the perfect synergy (using Top, Middle and Base notes), blend in a base oil such as first cold pressed rapeseed oil, almond oil, fractionnated coconut oil….to meet the 3 distinct actions.
1) Pharmacological effect is concerned with the chemical changes which take place when an essential oil enter the bloodstream and react with the hormones and enzymes ect.
2) Physiological mode is concerned with the way in which an essential oil affects the systems of the body, whether sedated or stimulated, etc.
3) physchological effect takes place when an essence is inhaled (nose and skin), and the client respond to its odour by using the lymbic/olfactory system.
Aromatherapeutic massage not only has the client leaving with a full body massage, but it also allegedly provide emotional, physiological and pharmacological healing and relaxation. It is recommended not to wash after the massage, to allow the oils to work throughout the all body. To drink lots of water to flash out the toxins, and to allow your body to reconnect with your inner-self.
Massage cupping is the use of silicone cups which glide over the body using circular and long movements. With massage cupping, the pressure is being forced upward into the cup which is opposite to traditional massage using a downward pressure. Oil is used to help the gliding of the cup.
This treatment is offered by Beatrice.
Aromatherapy Massage benefits the mind and body. The therapeutic scent of the essential oils helps the mind unwind helping with stress, anxiety and helps to improve sleep. Physically the essential oils nourish the skin, improve the circulation, lymphatic system and stimulate the nervous system helping the body to relax.
Aromatherapy may help a wide variety of conditions including:
Anxiety and depression
Inflammation and swelling
Menstrual and menopause challenges
Pregnancy and after-pregnancy care and baby wellbeing.
If you are diagnosed with any form of cancer and receiving chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatment we will require written consent from your GP/ Consultant prior to offering any Massage Treatment, other treatments may be available without consent please check with us. This is a requirement of our Insurance company.
Immediately after a treatment you are likely to feel relaxed, calm and feeling better, physically and mentally and emotionally than when you arrived.
Many people feel lighter and more energised after their session.
You may also feel tired as the body can work quite hard physically and emotionally through a session without appearing to do so.
Everyone’s experience is different and you may find that on subsequent treatments you feel quite different according to the nature and depth of the treatment and how you feel on that day.
If you have been receiving a treatment for muscular or joint ailments then you may feel as if you are unbalanced or ache immediately after a treatment as your body is adjusting itself to the correct positions.
It is always a good idea to keep yourself hydrated and especially after having any treatment as this will increase the benefits of the treatment and reduce any side effects.
Occasionally, you may experience what is sometimes known as a “healing crisis” which is a positive healing process where symptoms actually become temporarily worse but pass within a couple of days.
You may even experience cold or flu-like symptoms, feel achy, restless, have unusual dreams or just feel a little under the weather. This is part of the healing process and is a sign that your body is changing and healing.

BEATRICE SALICE ITEC Dip; CthA
My name is Beatrice Salice, I have over 20 yrs experience in various areas of Healing therapies with an expertise in the field of addiction. I am a registered and qualified practitioner with CTHA in bodywork massage including Indian Head Massage Oncology Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Body Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Reiki level 1, Reflexology, Western Herbal Remedies and Nutrition.
I strongly believe in a Holistic approach to stimulate the client’s own strengh rather than focusing on the illness in the quest for optimal health and wellness. My belief as a practitioner in this field is that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
Combining nutritionnal guidance, complementary therapies, mindfulness are the natural keys to reach the optimum of well being, which have been proven very beneficial during my years of practice in various treatment centres, along with a change of lifestyle. I am passionate in promoting the importance of well being and reconnected the individual with him/herself. We are living in an era of stress, toxins, fast food, technology, we are forgetting how to nurture ourself as a whole.
I’m Nalini and am a yoga and meditation teacher, holistic therapist and a menstrual and menopause coach.
I specialise in women’s wellness yoga… deeply nourishing practices, that support women through all stages of life including fertility, menstrual cycle, post-natal, peri and menopause. I also work with Yoga Nidra, both in classes and one to ones.
Yoga Nidra is a key tool for calming down the hyper-arousal response common to stress, anxiety and PTSD as well as being a sublime practice for deep rest and relaxation. It is also of great help during fertility, for menstrual and menopause challenges.
I work with women’s issues including menstrual and menopause challenges (pain, hot flushes, joint pain, PMT etc), stress, anxiety, grief, emotional challenges, sleep problems, fibromyalgia and CFS, life changes, life direction and many other health issues. I also support women pre and post pregnancy through yoga, breathwork and aromatherapy.
As an aromatherapist and energy worker I hold sacred healing space for deeply healing and restful sessions. I make my own natural range of products and support women during pregnancy and postnatally, providing both sessions and products to ease the symptoms of problems including cracked nipples, breast milk flow and aches and pains.
I run fun and informative workshops on healing herbs and plants, and how to make remedies at home. Making your own calendula oil, for example, is so worthwhile as it will treat both you and your baby’s skin troubles organically and economically without the need for harsh, commercial products. For women, our connection to the earth, her gifts and her cycles is a fundamental part of our femininity. Without being rooted and grounded, we are not at home in our own bodies.
I am also a ScarWork therapist, working with scar healing for scars including C-Birth, breast surgery including mastectomy, and joint replacement. These gentle techniques encourage healing on both a physical and emotional level.
