CranioSacral Therapy, Crawley, West Sussex
What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-intrusive therapy which through gentle touch releases restrictions, tension and pain in the body; complementing the body’s natural healing process and aiming to boost your health and well being
It is often appropriate as a therapy when others are not:
• immediately after surgery or injury
• during pregnancy
• from birth
• for the elderly
• for those who are in poor health
• for chronic and acute conditions
What happens during a CranioSacral Therapy treatment?
During a treatment you remain fully clothed, usually lying on a couch, although you can be seated.
A feather like touch is used on the body to allow the release of tension, pain and restrictions in the body. This can be very relaxing and a feeling of calm and relaxation is usually felt.
This gentle touch allows people of any age from new born to advanced old age to be treated safely and for treatments to be given straight after surgery or injury.
A CranioSacral Therapy treatment will usually be for 60 minutes although 30, 90 minutes and longer are available.
CranioSacral Therapy as any treatment, conventional or complementary, is not a quick fix; as the body needs to unwind and correct itself in a healthy and safe manner to release the tension and restrictions. In some cases symptoms can go immediately; but deeper tension and chronic conditions may take longer to be released and in such cases 3-6 sessions are more usual.
Benefits of CranioSacral Therapy
