Body-listening and yoga nidra
Trained in body listening skills and Yoga Nidra, I work with people in one to one sessions which incorporate aspects of Yoga Nidra, a deep, personal enquiry into self which can bring to light things that may be blocking us. The body and breath hold the key to transformation which the mind is unable to achieve. The body holds the memory of all our experiences and by-passes the rational mind, leading to integration. These sessions can help to let go of self-defeating beliefs, stress and anxiety and experience our emotions in a healthy way. The head cannot always solve what is blocking us as it may have buried the memories or beliefs that are standing in our way of wellness.
The body holds everything in its awareness and by working directly through dialogue with the body, healing can happen. The practice invites us to welcome everything into our awareness and realise that everything rises and dissolves in its own natural rhythm, bringing release and freedom into our lives and a feeling of overall well-being. It teaches us to be present to our lives and not to lose ourselves in the past or the future which is futile and contributes enormously to stress and unease.
Sessions last about an hour and a quarter and are safe and non-invasive. We work together from a quiet space to access your body’s innate wisdom and bring to light what needs your attention. Deep healing can come from these sessions, on things you are aware of and things that your mind doesn’t remember. A feeling of lightness and integration is usually experienced at the end of a session.
